I have spent a long time thinking about how I can contribute to the cavern.
I have seen, either directly or indirectly, the actions of others and how they have chosen to contribute. Some work on restoring D’ni and various Ages of the D’ni, either through helping the DRC, or other restoration efforts. Some spend their time helping others in need, particularly those who are new to the cavern. Some managed to contribute in other, smaller ways.
How did I contribute? To be honest, I did not.
I cannot seem to remember my original reason for starting this blog. However, I know now that what I was doing before did not contribute anything whatsoever. I used this blog to try to reach out to others, since I did not want to reach out directly in the cavern itself. However, there was no purpose. The only thing written here was a summary of what I had done with my days in D’ni. Many others do this as well, but for them, it is only an extension of their actions in the cavern. They have other contributions, or at the very least, they have friends willing to listen. I had neither, and so I had no purpose in writing here, which is ultimately, why I had stopped.
I have spent a lot of time thinking about what purpose I could have, and I have finally decided what I will do.
There are messages that I want the other explorers to know. I have feelings inside me I have long tried to put into words, and I believe now is the right time, if any, to express them. Perhaps what I have to say will only be heard by a few. Perhaps what I have to say will not be understood. Perhaps what I have to say will upset some people. Regardless of all of these, however, I will not sit around and be just another silent explorer anymore.
